21/05/1983: Tenth Anniversary of BMICH
A ministerial delegation from the People’s Republic of China is scheduled to arrive in Colombo on May 29 to participate in the 10th anniversary celebrations of the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH)
The Government of China gifted the Conference Hall to Sri Lanka on May 17 1973.

The delegation which will be headed by Li Xining, Minister of Urban and Rural Construction and Environmental Protection, will consist of high ranking officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affaires, Foreign Aid and Urban Construction.

During their stay here the delegation will call on President J.R. Jayewardene and foreign Minister A.C.S. Hameed.
